Italo Filippin Architect

I began my professional career in 1981 at a construction company (1981-1987). I was responsible for the design and engineering of many buildings, gaining practical experience in the public works sector.

Since 1983, I have also been working as a freelancer, designing residential, industrial, and office buildings, as well as handling their interior design. I have participated in national and international architecture competitions, receiving awards and mentions.

Since 2005, I have been a founding partner and administrator of the design company Dedalusprogetti s.r.l., based in Piazza Onè(TV). The studio's work ranges from the urban scale to the design object, always maintaining a sartorial approach and attention to construction detail.

METHOD

A building must have a purpose for which it was created, whatever it may be. I have always believed that the most necessary buildings are the most beautiful and difficult to design.

Simplicity is not a starting point but a destination, achieved through a process of synthesis and elimination of the superfluous. For me, seeking the essence of things means giving order and dignity to the space in which we live.

For us, architecture is a balance between matter, light, and function. We do not seek astonishment for its own sake, but rather the durability and quality of life for those who inhabit the space.
